Final image of the series from Calke Abbey: the passage way to the kitchen, a dark dank corner a great distance from the living quarters. I usually find the kitchens in large houses interesting because they are the centre of life and activity. This was a sad place, reflecting perhaps the mindsets of the builders and occupiers of this place.
