At Cirencester’s Corinium museum there is a fine collection of Roman mosaics, the best part of 1,700 years old (i.e. from the 4th century AD).
The hare motif is apparently unique in Britain. The detail in the mosaic is lovely, down to the flecks of green glass used on the hare’s back.

I have a few roman mosaic pictures left to me by my uncle – they are very old – are they worth anything as I was going to sell them at car boot?
