Oxfordshire Way

Oxfordshire Way

A resolution for the new year is to get out and benefit from some walking. But that’s a bit too vague to keep, so we decided to make a more tangible target – walk the length of Oxfordshire, along the Oxfordshire Way, from Bourton-on-the-Water to Henley-on-Thames. It’s about 65 miles/105km.

We can do this perhaps only one day a week, weather permitting, but we made a start on Sunday covering a tenth of the distance, from Bourton to Bledington by way of Wyck Rissington.

We haven’t been in Oxfordshire yet, but we came within a few feet of the county border near the end of the walk.

This picture shows a sign near the start of the walk.

I’ll be posting pictures from the walk here, and I’ll probably start a dedicated blog on Blogger, where embedded Google Maps are possible.

Update – progress is recorded in the Oxfordshire Way blog.
