First in a series of pictures from the Loire valley: Blois’ cathedral former Benedictine abbey of Saint Nicholas viewed from the nearby chateau.

A four-frame panorama (28 mm zoom lens setting; portrait frames) joined using Autostitch (5582 x 2871 px; over 15 MP), shrunk to 2800 px in Picasa, and post-processed in Picnik.

  1. A nice shot, but you should be aware that this is the former Benedictine abbey of Saint Nicholas, not the cathedral (which sits on a plateau overlooking the eastern end of the town).

    Glad you enjoyed the Loire Valley…
