Lens comparison tests

Picnik collage

An attempt to compare close-up/macro effectiveness and bokeh for a range of lenses and close up filters. Click on the main photo for links through to the source pictures.

In general, each picture was taken as close as possible to the subject with and without a close-up filter (if available) and at the top end of the zoom range for zoom lenses. The source picture is an A100 ‘standard’ JPG, and each has been Auto-fixed in Picnik.

The next time I do this I’ll use a tripod and a common exposure setting.
