Hampton Gay: a village returning to the landscape

Hampton Gay

This hamlet is just north of Oxford and is quite intriguing. The manor house, above, was destroyed by fire in the late nineteenth century and the village now has just four families living in it.

The church (St Giles) still stands a few hundred metres from the people it serves, though it now looks unused though still intact.
